TOPS v1.6 Production Deployment and Retirement Date for TOPS v1.5

Overview

Today, September 5, 2017, IEX launched TOPS v1.6 to the Production environment. TOPS v1.6 supports administrative and auction messages to communicate system events, security directory (IEX-listed only), trading status, operational trading halts, short sale price test status, and auction information (IEX-listed only). TOPS v1.6 will continue to be a FREE market data offering of the Exchange. Connectivity details for multicast transmission and gap fill servers may be found in the IEX TOPS Specification.

Note that IEX is currently publishing TOPS v1.6 and TOPS v1.5 in parallel. However, TOPS v1.5 will be retired on November 1, 2017.

Please confirm successful configuration and consumption of TOPS v1.6 with the IEX Market Operations Team when complete.

Testing

A sample pcap for TOPS v1.6 is available on the IEX website. TOPS v1.6 is also currently available in the IEX Test Facility ("ITF") via a dedicated ITF cross-connect. Connectivity details may be found in the IEX TOPS Specification.
