IEX Testing Facility Expansion

IEX Trading Alert #2017 - 010

Overview

IEX is expanding the IEX Test Facility ("ITF") to enhance support for non-production testing of trading system functionality and multicast data feed products. On May 1, 2017, recipients of IEX Data Products will be able to consume multicast data feeds (e.g., TOPS) from the ITF via a dedicated ITF cross-connect. IEX will continue to offer access to and usage of the ITF free of charge.

On May 1, 2017, access to the ITF via existing production cross-connects will be decommissioned and users will be required to connect either through a dedicated ITF cross-connect or over the internet. Access to multicast data feed products will only be available via an ITF cross-connect. FIX certification will continue to be available via internet connectivity.

Moving forward, IEX will also stage all major deployments in the ITF prior to production launch. ITF availability dates will be announced via IEX Trading Alert for each publicly-announced deployment.

Connectivity

As noted above, access to the ITF via production cross-connects will be decommissioned on May 1. Users who wish to connect to the ITF via cross-connect must submit a Physical Connectivity Order Form to Market Operations to order a new cross-connect dedicated to ITF connectivity as soon as possible. 1Gps interfaces are the default physical interface available into the ITF. For additional information, please see the IEX Connectivity Manual.

The following pieces of ITF functionality are available through the defined method of connectivity to the environment.

ITF Functionality ITF Cross-Connect Internet Connectivity
