What you need to know:

  • IEX hours of operation for the Christmas break:
    • Thursday, December 24: abbreviated trading schedule (regular market session close 1:00 p.m.)
    • Friday, December 25: closed
  • IEX hours of operation for New Year's Day:
    • Thursday, December 31: regular market hours
    • Friday, January 1: closed

What are IEX's hours of operation during the holidays?

On Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, the IEX trading system will start as per Regular Trading Hours, but will close early (all times are Eastern Standard):

  • Order acceptance at 8:00 a.m.
  • Pre-Market Session 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
  • Regular Market Session 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Post-Market Session 1:00 p.m – 2:00 p.m.
  • Trade matching will conclude at 2:00 p.m.

IEX will be closed Friday, December 25, and will reopen for regular market sessions Monday, December 28.

On New Year's Eve, Thursday, December 31, the IEX trading system will operate as per Regular Trading Hours.

IEX will be closed Friday, January 1, 2016, and will reopen for regular market sessions Monday, January 4, 2016.
