IEX Trading Alert #2014 - 018

Please Route To: Connectivity, Technology, and Trade Support

What you need to know:

  • IEX invites Subscribers to connect to our Disaster Recovery (DR) Environment.
  • Subscribers should contact IEX Market Operations to establish connectivity to the DR environment in one of two ways:
    • via cross connect: Subscribers must complete and submit a Physical Connectivity Order Form to IEX Market Operations.
    • via extranet: Subscribers must first contact their extranet provider to arrange connectivity and then IEX Reliability Operations Center & IEX Market Operations for the target IP address.

Where is IEX's DR Environment located?

IEX's DR Environment is located at the Savvis CH4 data center, 350 E. Cermak Road, Chicago, IL.

What IEX ATS functionality is duplicated at the DR Environment?

The DR Environment replicates core functionality of the IEX ATS order book and smart order router: supporting all four IEX order types and conditional order parameters, and mimicking IEX book priority logic.

At the current time, the IEX matching engine hosted at the DR Environment will consume market data from the Securities Information Processor (SIP). The IEX ATS currently calculates the NBBO based on direct proprietary market data feeds from the 11 registered exchanges.

For more technical details on connectivity, please contact Technology Operations at 646.568.2320.
