IEX Announces: Production Testing October 22-24, 2013

What you need to know:
- IEX encourages subscribers to connect and test order entry and execution on its Production Environment, with Test Symbols, Tuesday October 22nd through Thursday, October 24th.
- The IEX ATS will go live Friday, October 25th, 2013 with all NMS symbols.
What is the launch week schedule?
- Tuesday, October 22, 2013 - Production Environment Testing
- Wednesday, October 23, 2013 - Production Environment Testing
- Thursday, October 24, 2013 - Production Environment Testing
- Friday, October 25, 2013 - Launch of IEX ATS
Who can test?
Only certified, production-ready broker dealers are eligible to test in the production system Tuesday, October 22nd through Thursday, October 24th.
When can I test?
Testing will occur during regular market hours:
- System start and connectivity acceptance at 8:30 a.m.
- Order entry acceptance at 9:00 a.m.
- Trade matching between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
What symbols can I test?
Use the following Test Symbols:
- ZJZZT
- ZVZZT
- ZWZZT
- ZXZZT
- ZBZX
- ZTEST
- ZVV
- ZVVV
What should I test?
Testing will occur in the Production Environment with live market data.
Subscribers are encouraged to:
- Test connectivity at the physical, port and FIX session levels (check for heartbeat).
- Test the four Order Types supported by IEX: limit orders, market orders, midpoint peg orders, and IEX Check. A description of our order types and parameters may be found in our Subscriber Manual
- Test order conditions: routable / non-routable, time in force, minimum quantity, limit / no-limit and ISO.
- Test port configurations are enforced, including max order size and max order notional value. A full list of configurations may be found on our Port Request Form.
- Test other features of the IEX market: price / broker / time priority, midpoint price constraint, minimum order quantity protection and book recheck, as described in our FIX Certification Notes.
- Test session-level scenarios: line drops, cancel / disconnects.
